Manual Method to Fix “Import and Export Option in Outlook is Unavailable”

To fix this issue, you have to set current language for non-Unicode programs in Windows to the same language as the installed version of Outlook. For this, follow the below steps:

When Operating System is Windows Vista or Windows 7

Click on Startbutton, and then click on Control Panel.
Click on Clock, Language, and Regional.
Then click on Regional and Language.
Click on Administrative
Click on Change system locale, if the Current language for non-Unicode programsoption is set to another language from the installed version of Outlook.
In the Current system localebox, choose that locale which matches the installed version of Outlook and then click on Ok.
Click on Okto close the Regional and Language dialog box.

When Operating System is Windows XP

Click on Startbutton and then click on Control Panel.
Choose Date, Time, Language, and Regional Options.
Then click on Regional and Language Options.
Also, click on Advancedtab.
Choose the locale that matches the installed version of Outlook under the Select a language to match the language version of the non-Unicode programs you want to usethe box.
At last click on Ok.
