#1. Clear Password From Outlook Credential Manager
What does clearing credentials do is it removes all the cached password from the credential manager. All you need to do is:
- Go to Start > Control Panel > User Accounts then click on the credential manager.
- Check for the Web credential set having Outlook in its name.
- Expand the set by clicking on the chevron.
- Click on the Remove button and delete the credentials.
#2. Uncheck For Credentials Login Prompt
If the user identification is enabled, Outlook password prompt keeps popping up. If we disable it then there is a possibility that the issue will get resolved.
- Launch Outlook and go to File > Account Settings.
- Opt for the exchange account and click on the Change button.
- In the new dialog box, click on the More Settings.
- GO to the Security tab and disable User Identification by unchecking it.
#3. Create A New Outlook Profile
It is possible that the Outlook profile of yours is corrupted. So, try to add a new Outlook profile.
- Go to Start > Control Panel > Mail.
- Click on the name of the current Outlook profile, then on the Show Profile.
- To add a new profile, click on the Add button
- Provide the profile name and click on the Ok button.
- Set up your email account for the new Outlook profile.
- Select Prompt for a profile to be used and click on the Ok button.
- Restart your Outlook app and check if the problem still exists.
#4. Look For the Internet Connection
If the internet connection is broken or not connected then there is a possibility that the Outlook will keep asking for the login credentials. So first check your internet connection.
- Press Win+R and open Run.
- Type cmd and hit Enter.
- Now, type ping outlook.com or any website you know. Then, hit Enter.
- This will look for a complete Internet connection. In the Ping Statistics section, you will see packets transferred and received. If the count is equal then your internet is working.
#5. Disable Antivirus’s and Firewall
Sometimes antivirus’s and other programs create issues in the functioning of Outlook. In such a situation, try to disable the antivirus and firewall of the system, it will remove the issue.
