What are The New Features in Windows Server 2019 Insider Preview

Microsoft has released out new Windows Server 2019 Insider preview build for peoples to check out. It is established on groundwork of Windows Server 2016, which still observe momentum in customers adaptation. Windows Server 2016 is best shielded and fastest adapted servers of all time!

Windows Server 2019 is an OS which is under development and is designed by Microsoft. It is a part of the Windows NT family of operating systems which is designed for servers. Its inside preview was announced on March 20, 2018.

After interacting with customers Microsoft analyzed the future challenges and where they are going. Four points that consistent and those were Hybrid, Security, Application Platform, and Hyper-converged infrastructure. Thus, Microsoft is bringing several innovative ideas for these four themes in Microsoft Window Server 2019.

Windows Server 2019 Insider Preview New Features-

Hybrid Cloud Scenarios:

Moving to the cloud itself is a ride and a hybrid approach, which combines on-premises along with cloud environment working together. Few examples of what users are doing to extend their data centers to the public clouds are expecting active directory, synchronization file servers and backing up in the cloud. Furthermore, a new hybrid approach permits apps to run on-premises so that they can take advantage of innovation in a cloud-like Artificial Intelligence and loT. Hybrid cloud-enable the future-proof, long-term approach- which is the reason why we see it playing a major role in cloud strategies for a certain future.

With its release, users will easily able to engage with effortlessly integrate Azure services like Azure Backup, disaster recovery, Azure File Sync, and much more.

Security:

In today’s era security is the highest priority of everyone. So many cyber threats are taking place in our life and Microsoft really understand this user concern, therefore; they are continuously trying to provide user’s secure cloud-based applications like Microsoft Azure, Office 365, and various other online services.

They are majorly focused on “Protect, Detect, and Respond” for security and they are focusing on these three features in Windows Server 2019.

Microsoft is offering Windows Defender ATP (Advanced Threat Protection) in Windows Server 2019 Insider Preview which will safeguard, identifies threats and zero-day achievement among other abilities into the OS. This would provide users access to broad kernel and memory sensors, and bettering performance.

Application Platform:

This key was forced on the developer experience. 2 key elements to bring out for the developer community are the enhancement of Windows Server containers and Windows Subsystem on Linux (WSL).

Microsoft is continuing to improve the alternatives for orchestrating Windows Server containers deployments. In Windows Server 2019 Insider Preview there is a significant development in improvements to compute, storage, and networking components of a Kubernetes cluster.

Similar to Windows Server 2016 this server also continuing to improve WSL, helping Linux users import scripts to Windows at the same time using industry standards like OpenSSH, Curl & Tar.

Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI):

HCI is the leading trends in the server industry nowadays. In IDC report it found out,  the HCI market grew 64% in 2016 and Gartner says it will be a $5 billion market by 2019. It is so high in demand because of one reason, users understand the value of using x86 servers with high-performance local disks to run their computers. HCI also provides an opportunity to easily measure such an arrangement.

Peoples searching for HCI can still use Windows Server 2016 and Server Software Defined program. Microsoft has partnered with other hardware leading industry to provide an affordable and absolute robust HCI solution. Microsoft has developed foundation by adding scale, performance, and reliability Windows Server 2019 Microsoft and also by featuring the ability to manage HCI deployments in Project Honolulu, to ease the management and daily activities on HCI environments.
